1Samuel 16:7 NLT - 7 But the LORD said to Samuel, "Don't judge by his appearance or height, for I have rejected him. The LORD doesn't see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart."
Do we have a heart after God?
Heart – (Lebab) - inner man, mind, will, soul, understanding.
"Wearing a façade" means presenting a false outward appearance, essentially putting on a front to hide their true self.
3 Masks we like to wear
1. Self-Righteousness
Luke 18:9-14 NLT - 9 Then Jesus told this story to some who had great confidence in their own righteousness and scorned everyone else: 10 "Two men went to the Temple to pray. One was a Pharisee, and the other was a despised tax collector. 11 The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed this prayer: 'I thank you, God, that I am not a sinner like everyone else. For I don't cheat, I don't sin, and I don't commit adultery. I'm certainly not like that tax collector! 12 I fast twice a week, and I give you a tenth of my income.' 13 "But the tax collector stood at a distance and dared not even lift his eyes to heaven as he prayed. Instead, he beat his chest in sorrow, saying, 'O God, be merciful to me, for I am a sinner.' 14 I tell you, this sinner, not the Pharisee, returned home justified before God. For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted."
Unmasking the spirit of Pride/Self-righteousness.
Proverbs 16:18 NLT - 18 Pride goes before destruction, and haughtiness before a fall.
Romans 12:3 NLT - 3 Because of the privilege and authority God has given me, I give each of you this warning: Don't think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us.
2. Status Anxiety.
2Corinthians 6:16-17 ESV - 16 What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; as God said, "I will make my dwelling among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17 Therefore go out from their midst, and be separate from them, says the Lord, and touch no unclean thing; then I will welcome you.
Luke 12:15 ESV - 15 And he said to them, "Take care, and be on your guard against all covetousness, for one's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions."
“Church services are often evaluated on a scale of (1-10) in terms of human values, not necessarily the 'Mind of Christ'."
3. Refuge.
Isaiah 53:5 NLT - 5 But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed.
Authenticity is what the world is looking for.
Romans 3:10 ESV - 10 as it is written: "None is righteous, no, not one.
Ephesians 1:6 NLT - 6 So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son.

1Chronicles 28:9 NLT - 9 "And Solomon, my son, learn to know the God of your ancestors intimately. Worship and serve him with your whole heart and a willing mind. For the LORD sees every heart and knows every plan and thought. If you seek him, you will find him. But if you forsake him, he will reject you forever.
