< Back The End of the Line Devon Fouch Oct 21, 2026 Joshua 1:10-15 (NLT)- “Joshua then commanded the officers of Israel, “Go through the camp and tell the people to get their provisions ready. In three days, you will cross the Jordan river and take possession of the land the LORD your God is giving you.” Then Joshua called together the tribes of Ruben, Gad, and the half-tribe Manasseh. He told them, “Remember what Moses, the servant of the LORD, commanded you: ‘The LORD your God is giving you a place of rest. He has given you this land.’ Your wives, children, and livestock may remain here in the land Moses assigned to you on the east side of the Jordan River. But your strong warriors, fully armed, must lead the other tribes across the Jordan to help them conquer their territory. Stay with them until the LORD gives them rest, as he has given you rest, and until they, too, possess the land the LORD your God is giving them. Only then may you return and settle here on the east side of the Jordan River in the land that Moses, the servant of the LORD, assigned to you.” 1.) Remember The Cost Just because God has given you a promise doesn’t mean He won’t ask you to fight for it. Hebrews 10:23 (NLT)- “Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise.” Hebrews 11:1 (NLT)- “Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen, it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.” Just because you’ve reached the promise doesn’t mean that your assignment has reached completion. 2.) Blessing Doesn’t Cancel Responsibility Galatians 6:2-3 (NLT) – “Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ. If you think you are too important to help someone, you are only fooling yourself. You are not that important.” Your breakthrough could be meant to help equip others to reach theirs. 3.) It’s Time To Cross Their fight may be inconvenient for you, but you are imperative to it! You can help someone else reach the end of their line because Christ already carried you to yours! Philippians 2:4 (NLT)- “Don’t look out only for your own interests but take an interest in others too.” Proverbs 17:17 (NLT)- “A friend is always loyal, and a brother is born to help in time of need.” Previous Next

< Back From Footholds to Strongholds Nathan Brosher Oct 18, 2026 Ephesians 4:26-27 NLT – 26 And "don't sin by letting anger control you." Don't let the sun go down while you are still angry, 27 for anger gives a foothold to the devil. Foothold/Place - topos - Opportunity, power, an inhabited place. 1. What you tolerate can begin to control you. 3 Dangers of Footholds: What are we allowing to enter our front door? Bitterness? Hebrews 12:15 ESV – 15 See to it that no one fails to obtain the grace of God; that no "root of bitterness" springs up and causes trouble, and by it many become defiled; Anger? James 1:19-20 ESV – 19 Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; 20 for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God. Backbiting/Gossiping? Ephesians 4:31-32 NKJV – 31 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. 32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you. 2. What you entertain can begin to influence you. The enemy doesn’t need us to openly reject Christ if he can persuade us to live in continual agreement with something contrary to Christ! 3. Strongholds are confronted with the truth God’s Word. 2Corinthians 10:3-5 ESV – 3 For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. 5 We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ, Strongholds - ochyrōma - a castle, fortress, anything on which one relies. 3 Actions we must do: - Identify the Lie: - Confront the Lie with Truth: - Bring the thought under Christ’s Authority: We need to stop trying to manage what God is telling us to confront! Psalm 139:23-24 NLT – 23 Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. 24 Point out anything in me that offends you and lead me along the path of everlasting life. < Back The Comfort of God Nathan Brosher Oct 14, 2026 2Corinthians 1:3-7 NLT – 3 All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. 4 He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us. 5 For the more we suffer for Christ, the more God will shower us with his comfort through Christ. 6 Even when we are weighed down with troubles, it is for your comfort and salvation! For when we ourselves are comforted, we will certainly comfort you. Then you can patiently endure the same things we suffer. 7 We are confident that as you share in our sufferings, you will also share in the comfort God gives us. The Father of Mercies Lamentations 3:22-23 ESV – 22 The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; 23 they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. The God of all Comfort Psalm 34:19 ESV – 19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them all. The One who comforts us in all our affliction Comfort - paraklēsis - encouragement, consolation and exhortation. 1. God’s comfort doesn’t mean NO trouble! John 16:33 NLT – 33 I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth, you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world." Psalm 23:4 NLT – 4 Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me. 2. God Comforts us so we can comfort others. 2Corinthians 1:4 NLT - 4 He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us. Ephesians 2:10 ESV – 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. Romans 12:15 ESV – 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. 1Thessalonians 5:11 NLT – 11 So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing. 3. The Comfort of God doesn’t always look like deliverance. 2Corinthians 1:5-7 NLT - 5 For the more we suffer for Christ, the more God will shower us with his comfort through Christ. The remarkable truth is that the hardship may be real, but so is the comfort of Christ. “Faith does not require us to pretend that pain isn’t real. Faith enables us to trust that God is faithful even when the pain is real.” Hebrews 11:3 NLT – 3 By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God's command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen. C.S. Lewis: “ I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen—not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else." Previous Next

- Accountability | Bridgeway
< Back Accountability Nathan Brosher Oct 7, 2026 1Corinthians 16:1-4 NLT – 1 Now regarding your question about the money being collected for God's people in Jerusalem. You should follow the same procedure I gave to the churches in Galatia. 2 On the first day of each week, you should each put aside a portion of the money you have earned. Don't wait until I get there and then try to collect it all at once. 3 When I come, I will write letters of recommendation for the messengers you choose to deliver your gift to Jerusalem. 4 And if it seems appropriate for me to go along, they can travel with me. 1. Accountability Begins with Personal Stewardship What is the difference between God asking us to be successful and God asking us to be faithful? 1Corinthians 4:1-2 NKJV – 1 Let a man so consider us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. 2 Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful. J.D. Greear: “God can do more with one act of faithfulness than I could accomplish in 10,000 lifetimes on my own. Many of us need to change the questions we ask when we come to a crossroads from, “Where can I make the biggest impact?” to “Where does God want me?” 1Corinthians 16:3-4 NLT – 3 When I come, I will write letters of recommendation for the messengers you choose to deliver your gift to Jerusalem. 4 And if it seems appropriate for me to go along, they can travel with me. 2. Accountability Requires Transparency Spiritual authority does not eliminate accountability. “The more authority God gives a person, the more accountability that person should willingly embrace.” 1Corinthians 16:5-9 NLT – 5 I am coming to visit you after I have been to Macedonia, for I am planning to travel through Macedonia. 6 Perhaps I will stay awhile with you, possibly all winter, and then you can send me on my way to my next destination. 7 This time I don't want to make just a short visit and then go right on. I want to come and stay awhile, if the Lord will let me. 8 In the meantime, I will be staying here at Ephesus until the Festival of Pentecost. 9 There is a wide-open door for a great work here, although many oppose me. 3. Accountability Protects the Mission. Why do we tend to think accountability as punishment rather than protection? Galatians 6:1-3 NLT – 1 Dear brothers and sisters, if another believer is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should gently and humbly help that person back onto the right path. And be careful not to fall into the same temptation yourself. 2 Share each other's burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ. 3 If you think you are too important to help someone, you are only fooling yourself. You are not that important. James 5:19-20 NLT – 19 My dear brothers and sisters, if someone among you wanders away from the truth and is brought back, 20 you can be sure that whoever brings the sinner back from wandering will save that person from death and bring about the forgiveness of many sins. 1Corinthians 16:10-11 NLT – 10 When Timothy comes, don't intimidate him. He is doing the Lord's work, just as I am. 11 Don't let anyone treat him with contempt. Send him on his way with your blessing when he returns to me. I expect him to come with the other believers. 4. Accountability Requires Respect for Godly Leadership 1Corinthians 16:15-18 NLT – 15 You know that Stephanas and his household were the first of the harvest of believers in Greece, and they are spending their lives in service to God's people. I urge you, dear brothers and sisters, 16 to submit to them and others like them who serve with such devotion. 17 I am very glad that Stephanas, Fortunatus, and Achaicus have come here. They have been providing the help you weren't here to give me. 18 They have been a wonderful encouragement to me, as they have been to you. You must show your appreciation to all who serve so well. 5. Accountability Means Recognizing Those Who Serve Modern Culture Idiom: “Respect is earned, not given.” Character gives credibility to leadership. Accountability requires people who can speak into our lives! 1Corinthians 16:13-14 NLT – 13 Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong. 14 And do everything with love. 6. Accountability Ultimately Comes Back to Love. Stand Fast: Be Brave: Be Strong: Do Everything in Love: “Accountability without love becomes control. Love without accountability becomes compromise.” Hebrews 3:13-14 NLT – 13 You must warn each other every day, while it is still "today," so that none of you will be deceived by sin and hardened against God. 14 For if we are faithful to the end, trusting God just as firmly as when we first believed, we will share in all that belongs to Christ. Proverbs 27:17 NLT – 17 As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend. Previous Next

< Back Exposing Self-Reliance Nathan Brosher Oct 4, 2026 Proverbs 16:1-3, 9 NLT – 1 We can make our own plans, but the LORD gives the right answer. 2 People may be pure in their own eyes, but the LORD examines their motives. 3 Commit your actions to the LORD, and your plans will succeed. ... 9 We can make our plans, but the LORD determines our steps. 1. God Never Intended you to Direct Your Own Steps “A man’s heart deviseth his way...” “Prayer isn’t getting God behind our plans. Prayer is getting our hearts underneath God’s plan.” - Lysa TerKeurst, Author & President of Proverbs 31 ministries. 2. Dependence On God Psalm 37:23-24 NKJV – 23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD, And He delights in his way. 24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; For the LORD upholds him with His hand. Ordered/Directed - Kuwn - to be firmly fixed, stable, secure or prepared. James 1:2-4 NLT – 2 Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. 3 For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. 4 So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing. 3. Illusion of Control Proverbs 3:5-7 NLT – 5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. 6 Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. 7 Don't be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the LORD and turn away from evil. God doesn’t forbid us from using our understanding. He forbids us from making our understanding our foundation! Hebrews 11:1 NLT – 1 Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see. Hebrews 11:6 NLT – 6 And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him. 1Corinthians 3:6 KJV - I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. 4. Trusting Ourselves More Than God Where have we stopped depending? 1Peter 5:6-7 NLT – 6 So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. 7 Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. < Back When Truth Becomes Unwanted Nathan Brosher Sep 27, 2026 2Timothy 4:1-5 NLT - 1 I solemnly urge you in the presence of God and Christ Jesus, who will someday judge the living and the dead when he comes to set up his Kingdom: 2 Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching. 3 For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear. 4 They will reject the truth and chase after myths. 5 But you should keep a clear mind in every situation. Don't be afraid of suffering for the Lord. Work at telling others the Good News, and fully carry out the ministry God has given you. 1. Preach The Word 2Timothy 4:1-2 ESV - 1 I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom: 2 preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. What we are seeing and hearing: · Preach what people want · Preach what gets the biggest response · Preach what won’t offend anyone · Preach what is culturally acceptable Matthew 24:35 and Mark 13:31 - “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.” 1Peter 1:25 NLT - 25 But the word of the Lord remains forever." And that word is the Good News that was preached to you. Isaiah 40:8 NKJV - 8 The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever." “Just because we want it to be our truth, does not make it the infallible truth!” - Nathan Brosher · Seeking Validation · Avoiding Discomfort · Cultural Adaptation 2. They Will Not Endure Sound Doctrine 2Timothy 4:3-4 ESV - 3 For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, 4 and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths. What does “Sound Doctrine” mean? 3. Our Appetite verse 3, “They shall heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears…” Jay Haizlip, Pastor of Alliance Ministries - "When desire becomes the filter for doctrine, truth becomes negotiable" 4. The Response 2Timothy 4:5 NKJV - 5 But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry. - Distortion: What Happens When Jesus is Redefined? | Bridgeway
< Back Distortion: What Happens When Jesus is Redefined? Nathan Brosher Sep 20, 2026 John 14:8-11 NLT - 8 Philip said, "Lord, show us the Father, and we will be satisfied." 9 Jesus replied, "Have I been with you all this time, Philip, and yet you still don't know who I am? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father! So why are you asking me to show him to you? 10 Don't you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words I speak are not my own, but my Father who lives in me does his work through me. 11 Just believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me. Or at least believe because of the work you have seen me do . 1. Redefined Redefined - to give a new or different meaning to something, or to reexamine a concept with the possibility of changing it. Galatians 3:11-14 NLT - 11 So it is clear that no one can be made right with God by trying to keep the law. For the Scriptures say, "It is through faith that a righteous person has life." 12 This way of faith is very different from the way of law, which says, "It is through obeying the law that a person has life." 13 But Christ has rescued us from the curse pronounced by the law. When he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing. For it is written in the Scriptures, "Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree." 14 Through Christ Jesus, God has blessed the Gentiles with the same blessing he promised to Abraham, so that we who are believers might receive the promised Holy Spirit through faith. Distortion - the act of twisting or altering something out of its true, natural, or original state. Hebrews 10:26-29 NLT - 26 Dear friends, if we deliberately continue sinning after we have received knowledge of the truth, there is no longer any sacrifice that will cover these sins. 27 There is only the terrible expectation of God's judgment and the raging fire that will consume his enemies. 28 For anyone who refused to obey the law of Moses was put to death without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 Just think how much worse the punishment will be for those who have trampled on the Son of God, and have treated the blood of the covenant, which made us holy, as if it were common and unholy, and have insulted and disdained the Holy Spirit who brings God's mercy to us. Willfully/Deliberately - hekousiōs - to sin willfully as opposed to sins committed inconsiderately, and from ignorance or from weakness 2. When Jesus is redefined, the Cross loses its meaning Galatians 6:14-15 NLT - 14 As for me, may I never boast about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. Because of that cross, my interest in this world has been crucified, and the world's interest in me has also died. 15 It doesn't matter whether we have been circumcised or not. What counts is whether we have been transformed into a new creation. 1Corinthians 15:3-4 ESV - 3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, 3. Replaced with Preference Luke 9:23 ESV - 23 And he said to all, " If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. “Belief without surrender is demonic faith. Even the demons believe in Jesus.” - J.D. Greear James 2:19 NLT - 19 You say you have faith, for you believe that there is one God. Good for you! Even the demons believe this, and they tremble in terror. The real Jesus doesn’t conform to us; we are conformed to Him. 2Corinthians 3:16-18 NLT - 16 But whenever someone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away . 17 For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 18 So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord--who is the Spirit--makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image. Veil - kalymma - a covering that prevents a thing from being understood. Previous Next
- The Coming of the Lord | Bridgeway
< Back The Coming of the Lord Nathan Brosher Sep 16, 2026 1Corinthians 15:35-44 NLT - 35 But someone may ask, "How will the dead be raised? What kind of bodies will they have?" 36 What a foolish question! When you put a seed into the ground, it doesn't grow into a plant unless it dies first. 37 And what you put in the ground is not the plant that will grow, but only a bare seed of wheat or whatever you are planting. 38 Then God gives it the new body he wants it to have. A different plant grows from each kind of seed. 39 Similarly there are different kinds of flesh--one kind for humans, another for animals, another for birds, and another for fish. 40 There are also bodies in the heavens and bodies on the earth. The glory of the heavenly bodies is different from the glory of the earthly bodies. 41 The sun has one kind of glory, while the moon and stars each have another kind. And even the stars differ from each other in their glory. 42 It is the same way with the resurrection of the dead. Our earthly bodies are planted in the ground when we die, but they will be raised to live forever. 43 Our bodies are buried in brokenness, but they will be raised in glory. They are buried in weakness, but they will be raised in strength. 44 They are buried as natural human bodies, but they will be raised as spiritual bodies. For just as there are natural bodies, there are also spiritual bodies. 1. What is Sown is Not What Will Be New life (zoopoieo) - give increase of life, endued with new and greater powers of life. 1Corinthians 15:45-49 NLT - 45 The Scriptures tell us, "The first man, Adam, became a living person." But the last Adam--that is, Christ--is a life-giving Spirit. 46 What comes first is the natural body, then the spiritual body comes later. 47 Adam, the first man, was made from the dust of the earth, while Christ, the second man, came from heaven. 48 Earthly people are like the earthly man, and heavenly people are like the heavenly man. 49 Just as we are now like the earthly man, we will someday be like the heavenly man. 2. We Will Bear His Image · Creation · Fall · Reconciliation · Consummation (The Coming of the Lord) We were born bearing Adam’s image, but we will be raised bearing Christ’s image! 1Corinthians 15:50-53 NLT - 50 What I am saying, dear brothers and sisters, is that our physical bodies cannot inherit the Kingdom of God. These dying bodies cannot inherit what will last forever. 51 But let me reveal to you a wonderful secret. We will not all die, but we will all be transformed! 52 It will happen in a moment, in the blink of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. For when the trumpet sounds, those who have died will be raised to live forever. And we who are living will also be transformed. 53 For our dying bodies must be transformed into bodies that will never die; our mortal bodies must be transformed into immortal bodies. 3. The Coming of the Lord Will Bring the Transformation 1Corinthians 15:54-57 NLT - 54 Then, when our dying bodies have been transformed into bodies that will never die, this Scripture will be fulfilled: "Death is swallowed up in victory. 55 O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?" 56 For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power. 57 But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ. 4. Death Doesn’t Get the Last Word Matt Chandler, Explicit Gospel - “The Gospel doesn’t tell us that death isn’t coming. The Gospel tells us that death isn’t winning.” 1Corinthians 15:58 NLT - 58 So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless. Previous Next

< Back Deception: Another Jesus Nathan Brosher Sep 13, 2026 Matthew 16:13-17 NLT - 13 When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, "Who do people say that the Son of Man is?" 14 "Well," they replied, "some say John the Baptist, some say Elijah, and others say Jeremiah or one of the other prophets." 15 Then he asked them, "But who do you say I am?" 16 Simon Peter answered, "You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God." 17 Jesus replied, "You are blessed, Simon son of John, because my Father in heaven has revealed this to you. You did not learn this from any human being. 1. Who does the world say Jesus is? 2. Who do you say He is? Matthew 16:15 NLT - 15 Then he asked them, "But who do you say I am?" Christians can create another Jesus too! 2Corinthians 11:1-4 NLT - 1 I hope you will put up with a little more of my foolishness. Please bear with me. 2 For I am jealous for you with the jealousy of God himself. I promised you as a pure bride to one husband--Christ. 3 But I fear that somehow your pure and undivided devotion to Christ will be corrupted, just as Eve was deceived by the cunning ways of the serpent. 4 You happily put up with whatever anyone tells you, even if they preach a different Jesus than the one we preach, or a different kind of Spirit than the one you received, or a different kind of gospel than the one you believed. 3. Who Jesus IS! Matthew 16:16 NLT - 16 Simon Peter answered, "You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God." Luke 24:44-47 NLT - 44 Then he said, "When I was with you before, I told you that everything written about me in the law of Moses and the prophets and in the Psalms must be fulfilled." 45 Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures. 46 And he said, "Yes, it was written long ago that the Messiah would suffer and die and rise from the dead on the third day. 47 It was also written that this message would be proclaimed in the authority of his name to all the nations, beginning in Jerusalem: 'There is forgiveness of sins for all who repent.' Jesus is the Son of God John 1:1, 14 ESV - 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. ... 14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. 1John 4:1-3 NLT - 1 Dear friends, do not believe everyone who claims to speak by the Spirit. You must test them to see if the spirit they have comes from God. For there are many false prophets in the world. 2 This is how we know if they have the Spirit of God: If a person claiming to be a prophet acknowledges that Jesus Christ came in a real body, that person has the Spirit of God. 3 But if someone claims to be a prophet and does not acknowledge the truth about Jesus, that person is not from God. Such a person has the spirit of the Antichrist, which you heard is coming into the world and indeed is already here. 1Timothy 2:5-6 ESV - 5 For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time.
